Meet Simy!
I am a certified Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga instructor and personal trainer. I not only teach the yogic ways to help you stay fit, condition your core, become flexible, lose weight (and keep it away) but also to bring stillness and focus into your life.
While growing up I have always seen my Dad wake up at 05.00 am without fail every day to do his everyday yoga and workout. Today he is 60yrs old and as active and young as ever. He always inspired me, but seldom did I follow his footsteps.
I always loved exploring my surrounding and the world fascinated me. So when I was half way through University, my love for exploring the world got me to UAE and I became a Cabin Crew. Here my infatuation towards fitness and Yoga started germinating too.
I started my regular practice but never could reach my Dad’s commitment and discipline to a healthy life. After 10yrs of flying around the world, one fine UAE winter morning I quit my job and in a month’s time flew to Mysore, India to learn Yoga. There was no second thought, I was clear of what I want. Not only did I learn yogasanas but also to disciple/challenge myself and being committed (which was always a huge challenge). I am now passionate to help others in their journey to a healthy life.
Everyone like me wants to be fit, healthy, look and feel like a superstar but what one needs is the commitment and discipline of my dad to make it happen. A fit body is a prerequisite for a healthy mind, stress-free, active and happy life.
Woody Allen once said that, “Half of life is showing up.” I would say that 90% of making a lifestyle change is making the effort to get out of your couch. You can worry about laps you run or the amount you can push up later.
